Those who know me, know that I extol the virtuous foresight of those investors who have gone East into the emerging markets. Its true, its a new game there, but there is money to be made from India to China. Those multinationals that have had increased sales to these emerging markets are the most stable stocks around and when everyone said to flee the market for gold or a safe currency I agreed, but only if you were able to get way earlier (like a few weeks earlier), but if not you could play long with one of the many multinationals selling East and be quite comfortable with your position.
Please Pass Some Yum!
Yum! Brands (YUM) is one of these multinationals that has had strong growth in China and the far East. Yum! Brands is the parent company of KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and other brands. Although we Americans see these eateries as somewhat “second rate” fast food joints, those in the East have been increasing their consumption of these restaurants’ dishes. Yum! will continually be strong and is a great company to place your money in while other risky stocks take a beating.
