Some companies say they are good to the environment, but really aren’t so good if you take a closer look. Newsweek decide to take a closer look, and with the help of some experts on environmental issues and business practices, studied a large selection of companies for more than one year.
Among the 15 top firms in this special category of environmentally friendly are a wide assortment of businesses from diverse sectors, including retail, banking and technology.
An interesting outcome of the study is that the two firms at the top of the list happen to be technology companies. A bit of an irony
since, despite the fact that their business practices are good for the earth, their products are not really so great, if you give it some thought.
No matter, Dell and the rest of the companies on this list are doing more than the average company to support renewable energy and control emissions.

2. Dell
3. Johnson & Johnson
4. Intel
5. IBM
6. State Street
7. Nike
8. Bristol-Myers Squibb
9. Applied Materials
10. Starbucks
11. Johnson Controls
12. Cisco Systems
13. Wells Fargo
