Sheen on You Crazy Diamond

Charlie Sheen sure knows how to fight tough when it comes to money.  When WBTV canceled his show’s eighth season, Sheen wasn’t willing to take it lying down.  Indeed, today it seems as though Sheen will be winning his case and possibly resuming work, bringing home over #1.2 million per episode.  Litigator Martin Gold who works at SNR Denton says this is a similar situation to when CBS fired shock jock Don Imus following his derogatory statements about the Rutgers women’s basketball team.

If Gold Is Right, Diamonds Could Be Sheen’s Best Friend

If he does win the case (as looks likely) then Sheen will be back in the money making business at the rates he was getting.  He could even put some of the money on a stable investment like diamonds.  Diamonds are those stunning gems that provide more than just a twinkle to your eye; in fact, many are totally oblivious to the benefits that they bring to their host countries, such as Africa.  Approximately 5 million people around the world are now able to access healthcare due to money made from diamonds.  As well, about double of that figure – 10 million – are in some way supported by revenues from the diamond industry.  In Nambia, more than 40 percent of annual export earnings are generated by the diamond mining industry.  Profits from diamonds enable every Botswanan child to get free education up until 13.  And if Mr. Sheen really wants to put his money to good use, he can follow the lead of the charity Jewelers for Children which funds a program for orphaned South African children.
